Note: The price of the ticket reflects the cost of the show which includes a guaranteed base rate for comedians along with a share of the show's net revenue margin, if profitable. (So far the show hasn't "made money" --but it is close!) This allows Misfit PDX Comedy to book the best talent and ensures every show is a banger, it's also the right way to do business. Doing comedy isn't easy, it takes a lot of time to build a fifteen-minutes set by attending open mics and low or no-pay shows. The comedians have earned it.

The Showcase Showdown
Part high-stakes comedy competition. Part variety game show. 100% curated comedy killers at the pop-up comedy club in Mattie's Room at McMenamins Hotel Oregon located on USA Today's #5 "Most Charming Main Street in the US" --McMinnville's Third Street.
This isn't just another comedy night; it’s a hand-picked friendly competition between the Northwest’s elite talent. The lineup features heavy hitters you’ve seen dominating the region’s most prestigious stages—including Willamette Week’s Funniest Person, standouts from Helium Comedy Club’s Portland’s Funniest Person competition, and the many great local comedy open mics and showcases around Portland, Salem, and Eugene.
Mattie's Room at McMenamins Hotel Oregon
Located in downtown McMinnville, the 1905 McMenamins Hotel Oregon is a whimsical landmark rich with Yamhill County history. Originally the Hotel Elberton, this community hub features surreal artwork and the legendary Rooftop Bar.
A centerpiece of its creative spirit is Mattie’s Room, named for Mattie Hanna, the hotel's charismatic postwar lounge manager. This versatile second-floor event space showcases antique fixtures, a custom fir bar, and evocative murals. Whether hosting live music or comedy, Mattie’s Room retains a speakeasy allure that feels like a secret shared with the building’s resident spirits.
The Showdown
Comedians bring their sharpest 15 minutes to the stage in a randomized order that keeps the energy electric. Every comic earns a base rate, but only one grabs the $75 "Best in Show" bonus. It’s a high-stakes arena where rising stars and veterans push each other to level up, guaranteeing a world-class night for the crowd.
Plus, the stakes get higher: Monthly winners advance to our Tri-Annual Winners' Showcase Showdown, where four champions face off for a live-filmed special and an even fatter purse.
